Rogue Squadron Trilogy - Dolphin Emulator
Dolphin Emulator
The Rogue Squadron trilogy has not received an official re-release since the GameCube era. The Dolphin emulator (GameCube and Wii) provides the most practical way to experience Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike today, with enhanced resolution and widescreen support beyond the original hardware output.
Rogue Squadron (N64, 1998) can be emulated via N64 emulators such as Project64 or via Dolphin using the iQue ROM variant where available. The GameCube version of Rogue Leader is the recommended starting point given its technical superiority.
Legal note: Dolphin is legal software. Emulation of ROMs/ISOs requires that you own the original software. Factor 5's N64 and GameCube titles are not available through legal digital storefronts. Dolphin itself is freely available at dolphin-emu.org.
PC Versions
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D (PC, 1998)
The PC version of Rogue Squadron was published by LucasArts. It is no longer available through official digital storefronts (GOG.com and Steam do not carry it). Physical copies are available through second-hand markets.
The PC version supports higher resolutions than the N64 original and mouse-look controls, but requires compatibility work to run on modern Windows versions.
Star Wars: Episode I Battle for Naboo (PC, 2001)
The PC port of Battle for Naboo is also out of print through official channels. Physical copies remain available through second-hand markets.
Turrican Flashback and Anthology - eShop and PSN
Turrican Flashback (2021)
Released January 2021 by ININ Games. Available on Nintendo Switch eShop and PlayStation 4 PSN. Includes four games: Turrican, Turrican II: The Final Fight, Super Turrican, and Turrican 3.
Turrican Flashback is the most accessible legal option for experiencing the original Turrican series. Julian Eggebrecht was involved as IP rights holder.

Published by ININ Games in 2022. Available on Nintendo Switch eShop and PlayStation 4 PSN. The two volumes complete a broader Turrican compilation series covering the franchise's full catalogue.

Legal Status - Rogue Squadron
The Rogue Squadron games present a complex licensing situation. The Star Wars brand is held by Disney/Lucasfilm; the Nintendo publishing agreements for the N64 and GameCube titles; and Factor 5's development studio is closed. These overlapping rights positions have prevented any official re-release or digital availability since the original hardware era.
There is no current indication of an official re-release for Rogue Squadron, Rogue Leader, or Rebel Strike. The trilogy's inaccessibility through legitimate channels is a frequently discussed topic in retrospective coverage of Factor 5 and the Rogue Squadron series.
