WinUAE

Windows / Free

WinUAE is the definitive Amiga emulator for Windows. It accurately reproduces the Amiga hardware at a cycle-level, including the Paula audio chip responsible for Richard Joseph's MOD soundtracks. Getting Started

Recommended Setup

First-Time Players

Start with SWOS 96/97 on GOG. The pre-configured DOSBox installation means you can be playing within minutes. The DOS version plays identically to the Amiga original in terms of gameplay, though the Amiga version has the authentic Richard Joseph MOD audio at full fidelity.

For the full Amiga experience, set up FS-UAE first — its guided configuration makes Amiga emulation more approachable than WinUAE. You will need a legal Kickstart ROM (available from Amiga Forever) and ADF images of the original disks.

Online SWOS Play
