About Mastertronic Emulation
Mastertronic released games on cassette across ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, BBC Micro, and Atari 8-bit. The vast majority of these titles are now preserved in digital form through the efforts of retro gaming communities and the Internet Archive.
As a defunct publisher with no successor entity actively commercialising these back-catalogue titles, Mastertronic's games are effectively abandonware. The Internet Archive hosts browser-playable versions of many titles through its MS-DOS, C64, and Spectrum emulation infrastructure.
VICE — C64 Emulator
VICE (Versatile Commodore Emulator) is the gold standard for C64 emulation. The web version runs directly in modern browsers with no installation required.
The Internet Archive's C64 software library includes Kikstart, Action Biker, Chiller, Finders Keepers, and many other Mastertronic titles — all playable in-browser with the SID audio intact.
