Community
The Jeroen Tel community spans chip music platforms, retro gaming forums, and the demo scene. Here’s where to find it.
Remix64
Remix64.com is the primary community platform for C64 and Amiga music remixes. Tel’s page features arrangements from dozens of community musicians working across electronic, orchestral, jazz, metal, and ambient styles.
Cybernoid II has been remixed more times than almost any other Tel composition, with arrangements ranging from faithful SID-style recreations to ambitious orchestral reworkings. Remix64’s rating system and comment threads provide a rich record of community reception for each arrangement.
The Remix64 High Voltage SID Collection concert series (HVSC) has featured Tel’s work multiple times. The Commodore C64 Orchestra’s performance (available on the videos page) represents the peak of large-ensemble Tel arrangements.
Fan Projects
HVSC Curation
The HVSC team maintains and curates Tel’s 176-file SID archive, including STIL notes with subtune information, timing data from SLDB, and bug fixes for ripped files. The HVSC is entirely community-maintained.
Remix Arrangements
The Remix64 community has produced hundreds of Tel arrangements, with Cybernoid II and Hawkeye receiving the most interpretations. All available at remix64.com.
Scene Tributes
The C64 demo scene continues to produce new music inspired by Tel’s SID approach. CSDb documents all scene releases and community discussion around his work and influence.
SID Visualisations
Multiple YouTube creators produce oscilloscope and waveform visualisations of Tel’s SID compositions — a format that makes the three-voice structure directly visible. Search YouTube for “Cybernoid oscilloscope Tel”.
